Fatal three-car accident on I-40 claims one life on Saturday night.
Authorities reported that a 17-year-old driver, Chance Lee Kimbro, tragically lost his life in a crash on I-40 West near Spence Lane. The incident involved three vehicles and occurred on Saturday night around 10:30 p.m. Kimbro was reportedly driving a 2015 Ford Fusion that had been reported stolen when it collided with a semi-trailer on the westbound side of I-40. This collision caused the Fusion to spin out, and Kimbro was ejected onto the interstate, where he was subsequently struck by another vehicle and succumbed to his injuries. Police mentioned that a passenger, who remains unidentified, fled the scene, and witnesses indicated that Kimbro was driving recklessly before the accident. Authorities found no evidence of alcohol or drug involvement in the crash. If you have any additional information on this incident, please contact Kendrick Wright via email at [email protected].
