Fatal Tesla crash results in vehicle catching fire in Manvel
Two individuals tragically lost their lives in a fatal car accident that occurred on SH 288 overnight, as reported by Manvel Police. The incident took place around 2:30 a.m. on Sunday near Croix Road. Authorities and emergency responders arrived at the scene to find a Tesla Model S completely on fire with the victims, identified as Alexander Conwell aged 45 and Janica Oliphint aged 36, inside the vehicle. The vehicle was believed to have been traveling in the wrong direction before colliding with a concrete barrier. The authorities are currently investigating the cause of the crash, with speed being considered a contributing factor. The involvement of alcohol has not been confirmed, and toxicology results are awaited.
