Fatal swimming incident on Horn Island
A tragic incident occurred on August 24, 2025, when a man lost his life in a swimming accident on Horn Island in Jackson County, Mississippi. The individual, identified as Jordan King, aged 29, was part of a group on the island's west side when he entered shallow waters. Unfortunately, King passed away while being transported to a nearby hospital, as confirmed by Jackson County Deputy Coroner James Prisock. The exact cause of his death is still under investigation.
