
Fatal Springfield motorcycle crash from March
A man from Branson tragically passed away on Saturday, May 3, due to injuries sustained in a collision involving his motorcycle and an SUV that occurred at the end of March. The accident took place on March 28, 2025, at 11:25 a.m. in the 2800 block of South Fort Avenue in Springfield. The collision involved a 2004 Honda motorcycle driven by 41-year-old Thomas Smith and a 2022 Chevy Equinox driven by 76-year-old Richard Weter. Smith was rushed to the hospital following the crash and unfortunately succumbed to his injuries on May 3.
