Fatal solo crash in the Upstate according to troopers
A fatal single-car crash occurred on Saturday morning on Martins Lake Road near Highway 92, in which one person lost their life. The South Carolina Highway Patrol responded to the incident at around 12:15 a.m. The crash involved a 2009 Nissan sedan that was heading west on Martins Lake Road. The driver veered off the roadway, colliding with a ditch and a tree before the vehicle overturned. One of the two occupants, identified as 24-year-old Enrique Hernadez Orozco, was found deceased at the site due to blunt force trauma. The passenger was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the accident.
