Fatal small plane crash in northeast Ohio claims 6 lives

Tragically, a fatal plane crash occurred in northeast Ohio on Sunday morning, claiming the lives of six individuals. The crash involved a Cessna 441 plane with two crew members and four passengers on board. Around seven minutes after departing from the Youngstown-Warren Regional Airport, the aircraft crashed in a wooded area in Howland Township, located 2 miles east of the airport. The flight was en route to Bozeman, Montana. Despite first responders recovering the bodies from the wreckage and passing them to the coroner’s office, identities are being withheld pending notification of next-of-kin. The National Transportation Safety Board and the Federal Aviation Administration are currently investigating the crash causes. Fire Chief Ray Pace expressed the challenges of accessing the crash site due to its remote location, describing it as possibly the deadliest plane crash in the county’s history. The pilots were described as highly experienced, with the aviation community mourning the loss and highlighting the impact of their contributions.
