Fatal single-vehicle crash on I-94 claims life of Hysham resident
An 86-year-old man from Hysham tragically passed away in a one-vehicle accident on Interstate 94 near Rosebud. The incident occurred in the early hours of Friday, August 22, 2025, and involved a Toyota Tacoma driven by the man. The Montana Highway Patrol reported that the truck veered off the road, leading the driver to overcorrect multiple times before the vehicle rolled over. Regrettably, the driver, whose identity has not been disclosed, was ejected from the truck due to the impact and was pronounced deceased at the scene. Authorities suspect that the lack of seat belt usage and potential alcohol involvement played a role in the crash.
