Fatal single-car crash claims life of Pierce City man in Barry County
A man from Pierce City has tragically passed away following a single-car accident in Barry County on Saturday, July 27. The incident was reported by the Missouri State Highway Patrol (MSHP) who stated that the 21-year-old man lost his life in a car crash at approximately 1:47 a.m. along Route 97, just three miles west of Purdy, early Sunday morning. The crash occurred when the man, driving a 2000 Ford F250, veered off the road to the right and then back onto the road, causing the vehicle to overturn. The man was declared deceased at the scene, and his next of kin has been informed. This unfortunate event marks the 67th fatality for MSHP Troop D in 2025.
