Fatal Shreveport crash caused by medical episode
A fatal single-vehicle accident occurred at the intersection of Elizabeth Avenue and Margaret Place in Shreveport, resulting in the tragic death of one individual. The Shreveport Police responded to the crash at around 5:48 p.m. on July 21. Authorities found the driver unconscious in the vehicle following a medical episode that caused the vehicle to veer off the road, hitting several road signs before colliding with a tree. The driver, who was not wearing a seatbelt, succumbed to their injuries, while a female passenger, who was buckled up, remains in serious but stable condition at Oschner LSU Health. Police emphasized the significance of seatbelt usage in preventing such tragedies and urged the community to keep the affected family in their thoughts during this challenging time.
