Fatal Seattle overpass car crash leaves teen dead, others injured

A tragic car crash occurred late at night in Seattle's SODO area, resulting in the death of a teenage boy and multiple individuals being hospitalized. Authorities are currently investigating the cause of the crash, which took place off Highway 99 near the West Seattle Bridge. The vehicle struck a barrier, causing it to fall 80 feet onto East Marginal Way South and South Spokane Street. The 16-year-old female driver was trapped initially but survived and was taken to Harborview Medical Center. Two male passengers sustained serious injuries but were able to exit the vehicle on their own. Unfortunately, a male teenager was ejected during the crash and did not survive. Identifying information on the deceased individual has not been released as authorities notify next of kin.
