Fatal rollover crash with semi-truck in northern Las Vegas valley
A fatal accident involving a semi-truck rollover resulted in the closure of a section of the I-15 in northeast Las Vegas valley on Wednesday night. The incident occurred at around 10:05 p.m. on northbound I-15 and Speedway Boulevard, as reported by Nevada State Police. The crash involved a semi tractor-trailer and a sedan, with the individual in the sedan tragically losing their life at the scene. The semi truck driver sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to a nearby hospital. Following the collision, the semi-truck rolled over into the center median, but no hazardous materials were on board. The northbound lanes between Tropical Parkway and Speedway Boulevard remained shut down until just before 7 a.m., with traffic being rerouted at exit 53b or earlier, confirmed by Nevada State Police.
