Fatal rollover crash claims life of young man in Broadwater County
Authorities reported that an 18-year-old man lost his life in a single-vehicle rollover accident in Broadwater County near Winston early Saturday. The incident occurred in the early hours of the morning along US Highway 12, as the Chevrolet Silverado driven by the young man veered off the road, hit a delineator post, skidded across multiple lanes, and eventually rolled over several times, ultimately resulting in the driver's ejection from the vehicle. Despite being transported to St. Peter's Health in Helena, he tragically succumbed to his injuries. The victim's identity has not been made public yet. The Montana Highway Patrol indicated that the driver was not wearing a seatbelt and that high speed and alcohol consumption are believed to have played a role in the accident.
