Fatal Rollover Accident in East County
A tragic incident in Jamul resulted in the death of a 33-year-old Lakeside woman when her SUV overturned multiple times down an embankment. The driver, who was wearing a seatbelt, lost control of her BMW X5 while heading eastbound on Skyline Truck Trail, west of Castle Peak Lane, at approximately 3:30 p.m. Authorities pronounced her dead at the scene. The California Highway Patrol is investigating the crash to determine if drugs or alcohol played a role and advises drivers to drive cautiously, obey speed limits, and approach turns carefully to prevent accidents.
