Fatal Perry County crash leads to charges

The Perry County Sheriff's Office is currently investigating a tragic traffic accident that occurred overnight in Henderson, Kentucky. Reports came in to Central Dispatch about a crash near the intersection of Cattail Road and State Road 145, just outside of Bristow. According to initial findings, a 2002 Chevrolet Silverado driven by Timothy Neyenhaus veered off the road and got stuck in a culvert, blocking part of the southbound lane on State Road 145. While two helpful bystanders were aiding Neyenhaus in moving his truck from the road, a 2005 Pontiac Grand Prix driven by Jeffery Rasche failed to slow down and collided with Neyenhaus and his vehicle, leading to his untimely death. Rasche was taken into custody at the scene and has been charged with multiple counts of operating a vehicle while intoxicated, including one leading to a fatality following interviews and the initial investigation. State Road 145 was temporarily closed for the inquiry but is now open to traffic. Authorities are continuing to probe the incident.
