Fatal pedestrian accident on DiGiorgio Road in Lamont
In Lamont, California, a tragic incident occurred as a pedestrian was fatally struck by a driver on DiGiorgio Road, near Myrtle Avenue, on the evening of May 30th. The California Highway Patrol reported that at around 9:01 p.m., the man was hit by a 24-year-old female driver. Authorities arrived at the scene where the driver, operating a 2013 black Ford Edge westbound, collided with the victim outside of a designated crosswalk. Despite the driver's efforts to avoid the accident, the pedestrian sustained severe injuries and passed away. The driver remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigation. The road was temporarily closed for approximately two hours following the incident. No information has been released regarding the involvement of alcohol or drugs in the accident.
