Fatal pedestrian accident involving pickup in St. Clair County
A tragic incident occurred in St. Clair County's China Township where a pedestrian, identified as 20-year-old Evan Rudich from Cottrellville Township, lost his life after being struck by a vehicle. The fatality was confirmed by a recent report from the St. Clair County Sheriff's Office. The accident occurred around 11:30 p.m. on June 20 at the intersection of Marine City Highway and King Road in Southeast Michigan. Reports indicate that the pedestrian was in the roadway when the collision took place. The driver of the vehicle involved, an 18-year-old from St. Clair, initially left the scene but was later found and is cooperating with the ongoing investigation. Evan Rudich was transported to McLaren McComb Hospital in Mount Clemens, where he passed away on Monday. Authorities have launched an investigation into the incident, led by the St. Clair County Crash Investigation Team.
