Fatal North Freeway crash results in death following vehicle ignition.
A tragic incident occurred in the north Houston area late Sunday evening, resulting in the death of one man after the vehicle he was driving crashed and caught fire. Harris County Sergeant R. Dallas reported that emergency units responded to a crash at the 13700 block of North Freeway near Rankin Road. The driver lost control of the truck while speeding, causing it to veer through an intersection and ride along a curb for approximately 200 yards before crashing into a pole and bursting into flames with the driver still inside. Firefighters swiftly extinguished the flames but sadly found the driver deceased. No other vehicles were involved in the accident, and the reason for the high-speed driving remains uncertain.
