Fatal multi-vehicle collision near Rural Road and University Drive
One individual has passed away following a late-night collision in Tempe. Reports from Tempe police indicate that the incident occurred shortly after midnight on Sunday at the intersection of Rural Road and University Drive. A driver was said to have disregarded a red light, colliding with two other vehicles making turns at the intersection. The impact caused one of the vehicles to veer off the road and into the side of a building. Authorities have confirmed that three individuals were transported to the hospital, with one of them succumbing to their injuries. The intersection was shut down for an extended period as police conducted an investigation and removed vehicles from the scene.
