Fatal multi-vehicle collision in central Las Vegas valley
In the central Las Vegas valley on Sunday morning, a man lost his life in a multiple-vehicle collision, according to Metro police. The incident occurred at the intersection of North Eastern and East Stewart avenues just before 6:25 a.m. when a speeding Toyota Camry failed to stop at a red light and collided with a Volkswagen Toureg attempting to make a left turn. The impact caused both vehicles to hit another stopped car nearby. Sadly, the driver of the Volkswagen was pronounced dead at a local hospital. The Toyota driver sustained serious injuries and was arrested after treatment. This tragic event is the 82nd traffic-related fatality in the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department's jurisdiction for the year 2025.
