Fatal motorcycle crash on Ridgeway Ave./Mt. Read Blvd.
UPDATE: Sadly, the 23-year-old man who was riding a motorcycle has passed away from the injuries he sustained in the crash. The roads in the Ridgeway Avenue and Mt. Read Boulevard vicinity have been reopened. Authorities are continuing their investigation and will release the victim's name and more details later. In Rochester, N.Y., Ridgeway Avenue was closed at Mount Read Boulevard on Saturday evening for an accident probe. Rochester Police Department vehicles responded to the scene, and the area was cordoned off with yellow tape. An ambulance was also present. Police were notified of the incident at 8:49 p.m. and found that a motorcyclist was involved in the crash. Preliminary investigations suggest that the motorcyclist may have attempted to overtake a stationary car at a traffic light before colliding with a turning delivery vehicle at the intersection.
