
Fatal motorcycle crash on I-275 claims life of 18-year-old, according to Boone County Sheriff's Office.
An 18-year-old from West Chester tragically passed away after a motorcycle accident on I-275 in Hebron on Tuesday night. Boone County Sheriff's Office reported that Maxwell Trentman was riding westbound on the interstate near the 5.5-mile marker when he lost control of his motorcycle at the top of a hill. The motorcycle slid off the road, collided with a guardrail, and broke into pieces, throwing Trentman into the middle of the road. Subsequently, he was struck by four vehicles that were unable to avoid him. He was declared dead at the scene by Hebron Fire and EMS. Another motorcyclist also encountered debris from the crash, leading to a loss of control and minor injuries. The road closure following the incident was lifted around 4 a.m. the next day. The Boone County Sheriff’s Office Accident Reconstruction Unit is handling the investigation.
