
Fatal motorcycle crash near Rochester, according to state police
A tragic incident occurred on Thursday morning just outside Rochester, Minnesota, resulting in the death of a motorcyclist. The crash occurred in Marion Township at 10:48 a.m. on Highway 14 at Chester Avenue Southeast, as reported by the Minnesota State Patrol. The victim, a 52-year-old man from St. Charles, was traveling west on the highway when he collided with an eastbound pick-up truck. The motorcyclist was wearing a helmet during the collision. The pick-up truck driver, a 53-year-old from Maple Grove, was unharmed. He was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash. The incident is currently being investigated, and authorities have confirmed that alcohol was not a factor in the crash. The Minnesota Department of Public Safety has reported 191 traffic-related fatalities in the state so far this year.
