Fatal Motorcycle Crash near Goodfield
A fatal motorcycle crash occurred near State Route 117 and Timberline Road in Goodfield, Illinois. Woodford County sheriff's deputies reported to the scene after receiving a call at 5:57 p.m. of a collision involving a motorcycle and a black Chevrolet. The motorcycle and Chevrolet were both traveling north on State Route 117 when the motorcycle slowed down to make a turn onto Timberline Road and was rear-ended by the Chevrolet. The motorcycle rider was thrown from the vehicle and tragically pronounced dead at the scene. The identity of the rider is currently being withheld pending notification of their family. The driver of the Chevrolet has been cited for failure to reduce speed to avoid the accident. Stay tuned for further updates as more details are released.
