Fatal motorcycle crash in Town of North East under investigation
NORTH EAST, N.Y. (NEWS10)-- A fatal motorcycle accident in the town of North East is currently under investigation by the Dutchess County Sheriff's Office. Deputies said the crash happened Monday morning on State Route 22 involving a car and two motorcycles. According to the sheriff's office, a car and two motorcycles collided near 5761 Route 22. One of the motorcycle drivers was pronounced dead at the scene. Deputies said the second motorcyclist was transported to Vassar Hospital, where they remain in critical condition. The driver of the car was transported to the hospital also but was just evaluated. Investigators said the accident itself, and its cause remain under investigation.
