Fatal motorcycle crash follows vehicle chase in Citrus Heights.
A 28-year-old man was killed during a motorcycle pursuit on Monday night, as reported by the Citrus Heights Police Department. The incident began when officers tried to stop the motorcyclist for violating traffic laws at around 8:22 p.m. at Antelope Road and Wonder Street. The man did not comply and led the officers on a chase, which involved assistance from a helicopter from the Sacramento Police Department. The pursuit ended in a crash with another vehicle at Antelope Road and Mariposa Avenue, causing the man to be ejected from the motorcycle. Despite efforts to save his life, he was declared dead on the scene. The Citrus Heights Police Department's Major Accident Investigation Team is looking into the crash and anyone with information is urged to contact them at 916-727-5500.
