Fatal Motorcycle Collision with SUV in Fayetteville, According to Police

In Fayetteville on Wednesday afternoon, a tragic crash occurred resulting in the unfortunate death of one individual, as reported by the Fayetteville Police Department. The incident involved a collision between a motorcycle, operated by 22-year-old Trenton Wayne Thompson, and a grey SUV driven by 44-year-old Hector Elias-Burgos. The motorcycle was traveling south on Gillespie Street Southern Avenue while the SUV was making a left turn onto Southern Avenue. Following the impact, Thompson was ejected from the motorcycle and suffered fatal injuries. Additionally, the grey SUV collided with a red SUV driven by 65-year-old Larry Wayne Barber, who was waiting to turn left onto Gillespie Street. While paramedics attempted life-saving measures, Thompson was later pronounced dead at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center. Fortunately, a passenger in the grey SUV sustained minor injuries and was taken to the hospital for treatment. Both Elias-Burgos and Barber cooperated with authorities at the scene.
