
Fatal motorcycle accident with semi on I-84 near Twin Falls
A man from Eagan, Minnesota tragically passed away on Wednesday following a collision between his motorcycle and a semi-truck on I-84 east of Twin Falls. The accident took place at milepost 184 around 11:30 a.m. when the 63-year-old motorcyclist struck the semi-truck amidst slowing traffic in the westbound lanes. Unfortunately, the motorcyclist, who was not wearing a helmet, was pronounced deceased at the scene. The 26-year-old driver of the semi-truck, from Burley, Idaho, was unharmed as he was wearing his seatbelt. The westbound lanes of I-84 were closed for around an hour as emergency crews responded. The incident occurred shortly after another fatal crash on I-84 near milepost 175. Various agencies, including the Idaho Transportation Department, Jerome County Sheriff's Office, Jerome Rural Fire Department, and Magic Valley Paramedics, aided in the response. The Idaho State Police are currently investigating the incident.
