Fatal motorcycle accident under investigation in Derry
The Derry police are currently investigating a tragic motorcycle accident that occurred at the junction of East Derry Road and Pond Road on Friday evening. Upon arriving at the scene around 5:30 p.m., officers discovered a woman on the road who was later taken to Elliot Hospital and pronounced dead. An additional individual was also on the motorcycle. The cause of the accident remains unidentified, and the road is presently shut. The individuals involved have not been publicly identified as the investigation continues.
