
Fatal motorcycle accident on US-36 in Brown County
Two individuals lost their lives in a tragic accident on Friday evening involving a motorcycle and a pickup truck on U.S. Highway 36 in Brown County, as reported by the Kansas Highway Patrol. The collision took place close to Goldfinch Road at approximately 5:04 p.m. when a 2020 Harley-Davidson motorcycle, heading west, veered across the center line and collided with an eastbound 2011 GMC Sierra. The motorcycle's operator, 63-year-old David Koch of Sabetha, and passenger, 62-year-old Odetta Koch, both from Sabetha, were fatally injured in the accident. The driver and a passenger in the pickup truck were unharmed. The Kansas Highway Patrol is currently conducting an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash.
