Fatal motorcycle accident on Route 56 in Indiana County
The Pennsylvania State Police in Indiana County are currently investigating a tragic incident involving a motorcycle that occurred early Tuesday morning on Route 56 in East Wheatfield Township. A statement from the state police indicated that a 56-year-old man lost his life after his motorcycle veered off the road and onto the shoulder of Route 56. Subsequently, the motorcycle collided with a pickup truck making a turn into a local business’s parking lot. Fortunately, the pickup truck sustained only minor damage in the incident. The motorcyclist was rushed to Conemaugh Memorial Hospital, where he was later declared deceased. Authorities have not disclosed his identity at this time, and no other injuries were reported.
