Fatal motorcycle accident on PCH near Point Mugu; DUI possibly involved.

The California Highway Patrol is looking into a tragic motorcycle accident that happened on a dangerous curve along Pacific Coast Highway. According to the CHP, a 35-year-old female from Port Hueneme was riding a Harley-Davidson on PCH when she collided head-on with a Chevy truck driven by a 47-year-old man from L.A. The motorcyclist was thrown from the bike and sadly pronounced deceased at the scene, while the truck driver and his passengers were unharmed. There is a possibility that alcohol was a factor in the collision, but this is still under investigation. The Ventura Area Office of the CHP is handling the investigation, and anyone with information is urged to contact Officer Greg Jones. The roadway was closed for several hours following the crash. Additionally, this marks the second fatal motorcycle incident in the area within a few days after another female rider lost control of her bike on the 101 Freeway in Ventura.
