Fatal Motorcycle Accident on Des Moines' Southside
A tragic accident occurred on SW 9th Street in Des Moines on Wednesday afternoon, resulting in the death of a motorcyclist. Des Moines Police Department responded to a crash at the intersection of SW 9th Street and Luster Lane at approximately 6:30 p.m. The motorcyclist was found deceased at the scene, while the driver of the car involved was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries. Two other passengers in the car were unharmed. The investigation by DMPD is ongoing, with SW 9th Street closed in all directions at Luster Lane until further notice, expected to last up to two hours.
