Fatal motorcycle accident near Garden City
A motorcyclist lost his life in a tragic accident on Friday evening in Finney County, Kansas. The incident occurred around 6:30 p.m. on U.S. Highway 50 near Garden City, specifically in the 4300 block of the highway, close to U.S. 83. The Kansas Highway Patrol reported that a pickup truck traveling west on the highway tried to make a left turn into a trailer park, crossing into the path of an eastbound motorcycle. The motorcycle collided with the pickup truck on its passenger side, resulting in the death of the rider, identified as 50-year-old Jeff Bogner from Cimarron. Bogner was taken to a nearby hospital in Garden City, where he later succumbed to his injuries. The driver of the pickup truck, a 28-year-old woman from Garden City, was unharmed. The authorities are investigating the crash further.
