
Fatal motorcycle accident in Westmoreland County
One individual has passed away as a result of a collision involving a motorcycle and a car in Unity Township, Westmoreland County, on Saturday evening. Emergency responders were summoned to the area of Route 30 and Wimmerton Boulevard after reports of the incident at around 6 p.m. Brandon Shea, aged 43, from Mt. Pleasant, was identified by our news partners at the Tribune as the victim of the crash. The Westmoreland County coroner shared with the Tribune that Shea's motorcycle was struck by a Toyota Camry as the car was turning left onto U.S. 30 from Wimmerton Boulevard. Shea, who had a helmet on, was taken to the hospital, where he later passed away. In another incident on Friday, two individuals sustained serious injuries in a head-on crash at the same intersection. There have been no updates on their conditions.
