Fatal motorcycle accident in Provo
A motorcyclist tragically lost their life in a collision involving a car on Monday evening in Provo. The incident occurred when a van heading north on University Avenue turned left onto 1200 South, colliding with a motorcycle traveling south on the same avenue, according to Provo police. Despite being rushed to the hospital, the motorcyclist passed away upon arrival. Coincidentally, Provo police were also called to a suspected DUI crash near 300 S. University Avenue at the same time. This crash involved a vehicle hitting the center island of the road, leading to road blockages. The driver sustained minor injuries and was taken to the hospital, with authorities currently investigating the circumstances of the crash.
