Fatal motorcycle accident in Minot leaves one dead and teen critically injured

UPDATE - 12:43 p.m. 10/16/25 MINOT, ND (KXNET) — More details have been released by the North Dakota Highway Patrol regarding the accident in Minot on Wednesday, October 15. According to NDHP, a T-bone collision happened around 6:24 p.m. CT at the junction of 37th Avenue Southwest and 10th Street Southwest. A 2024 Suzuki motorcycle was speeding westbound and collided with a Dodge Durango that was entering the intersection. The Dodge had obeyed the stop sign on 10th Street Southwest before proceeding. Both vehicles came to a stop within the intersection. The juvenile driver of the Dodge was seriously injured, while the motorcycle rider tragically passed away from crash injuries. Weather conditions were reported as light mist at the time of the incident. ORIGINAL - 10:30 a.m. 10/16/25 MINOT, ND (KXNET) — A motorcyclist has lost their life, and a teenage driver is in critical condition after a two-vehicle collision on Wednesday evening at the corner of 37th Avenue Southwest and 10th Street Southwest in Minot. The 42-year-old male rider was declared deceased at the ER. A 16-year-old girl, the driver of the SUV, was taken to the hospital and remains in critical condition. The crash led to a temporary closure of the intersection as emergency responders and investigators attended the area. The North Dakota Highway Patrol has taken charge of the investigation and will share any further developments. Authorities have reopened 37th Avenue Southwest to traffic.
