Fatal logging accident claims life of Fort Ann resident
An inquiry is being conducted by New York State Police into a deadly logging mishap that transpired in Fort Ann. The accident occurred on March 18 in a forested location near Route 149. Troopers arrived at the scene at around 4:30 p.m. and found 76-year-old Leslie Saltsman trapped under a fallen tree with critical injuries, resulting in his death. The authorities have mentioned that there is currently no suspicion of foul play in relation to the incident, and the investigation is still in progress.
