Fatal late-night crash in Verona results in one fatality, one person wounded
Oneida County Sheriffs are investigating a fatal single vehicle accident that occurred in Verona. The incident, which resulted in the death of one individual and serious injuries to another, took place on Blackmans Corners Road on Tuesday, November 18th around 9:50 pm. A vehicle traveling northwest on the road lost control, veered off the roadway, and crashed into a tree. The driver was pronounced dead at the scene, and the passenger was taken to Wynn Hospital in Utica with serious injuries. The identities of those involved have not been released at this time. Responding to the scene were Sheriff's deputies, Verona Fire Department, and Vineall Ambulance Service of Oneida.
