
Fatal industrial accident involving Walker man at Ludington PD
A tragic incident occurred on Saturday morning when a young man lost his life in an industrial accident in Ludington. The Ludington Police Department received a call reporting the accident at the intersection of West Ludington Ave. and Robert St. The preliminary investigation revealed that the 24-year-old man, who was operating a boom lift, inadvertently made contact with two live electrical lines and subsequently fell approximately 30 feet to the ground. The victim, employed by a gutter installation company based in Ada, is currently being identified by authorities. As the investigation into this fatal accident continues, Consumers Energy took the necessary steps to cut off electricity to the downtown area to ensure the safety of first responders, affecting several local businesses and residences.
