A 61-year-old man from New York tragically passed away after being pulled into an MRI machine this week, according to Nassau County police on Friday. The man had a significant metal chain on and entered a room without permission while the MRI device, which utilizes a powerful magnetic field, was in operation at a medical facility in Westbury on Wednesday afternoon. The metal chain caused him to be drawn into the machine, leading to a medical emergency, as mentioned by the police, who stated that the incident happened at approximately 4:30 p.m. He was declared deceased from his injuries at a hospital on Thursday at 2:36 p.m., as per the police's update on Friday.
