Fatal incident in Weld County claims lives of six, including high school student: What we know.

Six people, including a high school student, tragically lost their lives in a "dairy accident" in Weld County on Wednesday. The Southeast Weld Fire Protection District responded to a call for a "confined space rescue" on Weld County Road 18. Upon arrival, crews discovered six deceased males. The Weld County Coroner’s Office is investigating the deaths as potentially caused by gas exposure, pending autopsy and toxicology results. Among the victims was a student from Highland High School, with the Weld RE-9 School District offering counseling and support services. UCHealth Greeley Hospital treated three additional patients related to the incident. The Dairy Farmers of America expressed deep sorrow, and OSHA is conducting an investigation.
