Fatal incident during tree-cutting in Kaysville
Police in Kaysville confirmed that a man who was rendered unconscious while working on removing a tree has sadly passed away. The incident took place around 9:30 a.m. when Santos Baudilio Lopez Perez, 49, was hired to cut down a tree on Shadowbrook Lane. A part of the tree fell and struck him on the head, causing him to lose consciousness. Emergency services responded to the situation and Perez was found unresponsive. Despite initial revival attempts, he was flown to a hospital in critical condition and later succumbed to his injuries. Perez was noted as a hardworking and safety-conscious individual, making his death a tragic accident that deeply affected his family and loved ones.
