Fatal incident at McDonald's drive-thru in Nebraska
A tragic incident occurred in Grand Island, Nebraska, where a 69-year-old man named Michael Dickinson lost his life after being caught between his vehicle and a McDonald's building. According to local authorities, Dickinson was pinned while in the drive-thru lane of the fast food restaurant. The investigation revealed that Dickinson, who was alone in the vehicle, sustained fatal injuries during the incident. Grand Island Police and Fire Departments responded to the scene, where Dickinson was discovered trapped in his car. Chief Dean Elliott of the Grand Island Police Division described it as a "freak accident," suggesting that Dickinson may have been reaching out the window for payment when he was caught between the car door and the drive-thru counter. During the rescue attempt, a McDonald's employee who entered the vehicle through the passenger side was also injured and taken to the hospital, but is expected to recover. The incident is currently being investigated.
