Fatal I-81 Accident In Greene County Leaves Three Children Without A Mom, And Their Father With Severe Injuries
Following up on a double fatal motor vehicle crash in Greene County April 14th, three young children lost their mother in the wreck while their father is recovering from severe injuries. The vehicle traveling I-81 near the 30 mile marker and occupied by Jason and Sherri Thornton of Coloniel Heights, Virginia was struck by a vehicle traveling the wrong way. The other driver, Paul Martinez, died at the scene as did Sherri Thornton. Her husband Jason was thrown from the vehicle, then flown to the Johnson City Medical Center.
