Fatal Hollywood Crash: Driver dies after hitting light pole, authorities report
An individual lost their life in a fatal fiery crash in Hollywood during the early hours of the morning, officials confirmed on Tuesday. The Hollywood Fire Rescue responded to a car collision on northbound State Road 7, just south of Mayo Street around 2:50 a.m. The vehicle was discovered fully ablaze against a light pole, which was promptly extinguished by the rescue team. Tragically, the driver, who has not been identified, was ejected upon impact and was found near the vehicle, eventually succumbing to his injuries at the scene. The Hollywood Police Department and Florida Power & Light were contacted to address the situation. Florida Power & Light is examining the damage to the pole and its structural safety. Motorists are advised to steer clear of the area as investigations and pole repairs continue.
