Fatal hit-and-run on I-64, according to LMPD
A fatal incident occurred on Friday at approximately 2:30 a.m., when an individual was struck by a vehicle while attempting to escape the scene of a collision on eastbound I-64 near the Spaghetti Junction area in Louisville. According to the Louisville Metro Police Department, the person initially rear-ended another vehicle, then exited their car and tried to flee on foot, resulting in being hit by a passing driver. The driver who hit the fleeing person remained at the scene, and no charges are anticipated. Fortunately, the driver of the vehicle which was first struck did not sustain any injuries. Authorities are currently conducting an investigation into the matter.
