Fatal hit-and-run in Miami leaves 1 dead, 4 injured
A fatal rollover crash occurred in northwestern Miami early Saturday, leading to one death and hospitalization of four individuals. City of Miami Fire Rescue responded to the accident around 9:05 a.m., involving multiple casualties near NW 54th St. and 17th Ave. in Liberty City. A single-car accident involved one trapped person, another ejected from the vehicle, and pedestrians struck by the car. First responders declared a "mass casualty incident," activating additional resources such as the Miami Technical Rescue Team. Firefighters provided immediate care to six patients, with five taken to Ryder Trauma Center and Jackson Memorial Hospital. Unfortunately, one person later passed away. The incident is under investigation by Miami Police as a hit-and-run, with detectives seeking the responsible individual.
