
Fatal hit-and-run in Leimert Park claims life of 4-year-old
The hunt is on for a hit-and-run driver in a tragic accident in Leimert Park that resulted in the death of a 4-year-old boy and severe injuries to two others, including his mother. The incident occurred late Tuesday night at 3648 S. Crenshaw Blvd., per the Los Angeles Police Department. A white Infiniti FX35 was speeding on northbound Crenshaw Boulevard and crashed into a building, trapping the victims inside. Firefighters rescued them and rushed them to Cedars-Sinai Hospital, where the child was declared dead. The two adults, one of whom is the boy's mother, are in serious condition. The driver, a woman in her 30s, fled the scene before authorities arrived, and the investigation into the cause of the crash is ongoing. A $50,000 reward is being offered for information that leads to the identification, arrest, and conviction of the suspect.
