Fatal hit-and-run crash on Indy’s north side
Investigators are looking into a hit-and-run incident that occurred on Saturday morning on the north side of Indianapolis, resulting in one fatality and one person sustaining injuries. The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department responded to a report of an accident involving personal injury at the intersection of Kessler Boulevard East Drive & North College Avenue around 1:47 a.m. They found a red pickup truck at the scene, where one adult male was pronounced dead and another individual was taken to the hospital in critical condition. A witness reported that a silver car collided with the red truck at the intersection, with the silver car driving away afterward. The red truck then sped down College Ave, hitting two vehicles, a bus median, and flipping over before landing upright on North College Ave. Further details about the incident have not been provided as the investigation continues.
