Fatal hit-and-run crash claims U.S. Marine and 2 others
A tragic hit-and-run crash near the border of Panorama City and Arleta resulted in the loss of three lives on Friday night. Among the victims was a U.S. Marine, identified as Adrian Carrillo by his friends, who had returned home for the holidays. The fatal incident occurred when a driver, fleeing from another collision, ran a red light at N. Woodman Avenue and Terra Bella Street, colliding with a Ford Mustang and a Honda Civic. Carrillo and his girlfriend, occupants of the Mustang, lost their lives at the scene. Friends and neighbors, including Ivonne Hooker and Dominique Herrera, gathered to pay their respects, reflecting on the tragedy and the dangers of car accidents. The driver of the van involved also passed away, while a passenger remains in critical condition. The driver of the Civic fled the scene and is currently at large.
